RUNWAY NAILS

I love this look, red with silver tips.

Lately I have been consuming my time on the internet searching for inspiration and ideas for my wedding. Being a stylist, I am always focused on the details, as small as they may be. My newest discovery is nail polish. Not just one color but multiple. I’m loving the colored tips. Since you’ll only find various colors off red in my make up case, I had to run out and buy some new exciting colors and start experimenting.

Its so much more difficult than it looks. I tried a few times before I realized I needed a nail tip template to make a perfect line. I ran back out to look for the stickers but unfortunately was unsuccessful. But no worries you can use the same stickers in a french manicure kit or even use plain old tape. This cool and creative look was seen on the Paris, Milan and New York runways, so you will undoubtedly see this look more mainstream this year.

No nail the same! Different textures, styles, colors and stickers a la the models walking the Vivienne Westwood show. Nail stickers can be found everywhere now so buy a few different sets and your ready to go.  Its a lot of work but seeing the final results its worth the effort.

This Miu Miu style can be fun for a wedding

Okay so if your looking for a more contemporary look and you love fake then your in luck.  This summer fake nails are HOT!  The latest transparent nails were seen in the Phillip Lim and Joy Cioci shows.

Nail polish has never been so popular. Beautifully manicured and colored nails are HOT!
2011 was the year of the cracked effect and 2012 is the year anything goes. Stickers, swarovski stickers, bright colors and tips have been seen in all the major catwalk shows.

Chanel nail polish speaks for itself, the perfect colors and smooth texture. Once again Chanel has impressed us, not with a new fashion forward color but with the new Chanel Nail art. The saying “Less is more” definitely doesn’t apply here. Glitters, swarovski, stickers and of course the double C logo. We’ve spotted the cc on the nails of Heidi Montag. This manicure is not your average, you’ll need some professional help if you want it done right.

And what about going tribal?
Isabel Marant, Balmain, Bottega Vaneta, and Donna Karen all used the exotic trend in their designs, filling the catwalks with graphic prints and bold colors.

I prefer a more simple look, I love the classic red nail with a contemporary silver tip shown in the photo!
