Just got back from Firenze and I miss it already! We slept in the villa, where I will be married in September, and will become Mrs Hart. That’s the reason that I have changed the name of the Blog into Styled by Hart. Sounds much nicer than Houtappel!! The room we stayed in gave me so much inspiration I grabbed my camera and immediately began taking pictures. The view from the window was stunning and if it were up to me we would have cocooned in the room for the entire four days. 
Your going to see lots of colors in the up coming summer collection. Yellow will be repeatedly seen on the catwalks. I love Yellow! Luckily because it suits me. Since I can’t wait for the summer, I wear yellow throughout winter. This makes everything look much more cheerful.

Today I decided to treat myself at D.R. Vranjes. I discovered these fragrances when I stayed in the villa for the first time. There exquisite scent filled every room and I immediately fell in love with them. Not to mention the beautifully designed bottles. The various aromas are wonderful, amber is my personal favorite. They are definitely worth paying extra for, and your house will smell amazing.

The collaboration between Tony Cohen and D.S.M at first sight may not seem very fashionable, but taking a close look into the Dutch chemical company and learning of its new developed textiles, which have been modified using special techniques, give new possibilities to make the fabrics more wearable, intensify their colors, last longer and all round fit better. Since I decided to start my blog I have been taking photographs behind the scenes of the shoots that I produce and style. However, because I am still in the learning process, I need to take my time and concentrate so it’s important that I have a good assistant who can help me with the styling on the set.
These are a few of the pictures I took during the shoot of the latest Shick campaign. Shick is one of my most significant clients, with their campaigns I am free to create the whole production and style. It gives me the sense that I am shooting an editorial and that I find most fulfilling.
